Time sure does fly!  I have a few important dates for everyone to remember.

October 1- Fundraiser packets are do.

October 3- Picture day

The class had their first math test yesturday and the average class score was 88 percent.  Not shabby!

Way to go Kai!!!!  And he earned 35 tickets for his hard work.

Can you believe the first full week of school is already over?  The week went well and the kids have transitioned nicely.  Next week is going to be a busy week.  Monday is constitution day and we have arranged for a judge to come in and speak to the 4th grade about government.  Tuesday is back-to-school night starting at 6:30 pm and ending at 7:30 pm.  NWEA testing starts on Wednesday and lasts for two weeks.  Friday is homecoming so the traveling pep band will be stopping by with all of the high school fall sport teams. 

On a special note Luke was able memorize and recite all of the presidents in order earning him 35 tickets!  Your child can earn 35 tickets as well if they can recite all of the presidents.  Practice, Practice, practice.

If you would like to sign-up to be a classroom party coordinator or helper a sign-up sheet will be posted in my room during back-to-school night.

Tonight I gave the students the option to complete a moon observation for extra crdit.  It will not count against them if they don't do it.  The moon sets at 5:40 pm and rises at 3:50 am.  Good luck if your child decided to do this extra credit assignment.

School dismisses at 12:50 tomorrow.

9/17-9/28: NWEA Testing for students.

We had a fantastic day today!  It was great getting to know each of the students in my class.  We covered many procedures and routines this morning.  The real work starts tomorrow:)

Reminder:  Bring in schools supplies, class money, and forms from your back to school packet.
